I missed periods 1 and 2 so just going off of the replays. Very different hit than Reaves. Reaves caught only the head. But this still caught too much of the head for my liking. Probably closer to a 2 minute penalty than a 5. The fact they put the Leafs on the PK after that is laughable imo.

The screengrab earlier in the thread shows Knies tensing up. Hopefully it's nothing too serious.

It's the upward trajectory that is bad. He ends up in the air by the conclusion of the hit.

It amazes me that people who masquerade as serious hockey fans don't understand the NHL's rules. This was very different from the Reaves hit, and those who think this was the same or worse are simply ignorant of the applicable rule.
