Which Team Has Best All-Time Lineup?

Fine I'll make one based on the players during their stint with the team
The Rangers are known to go after all the washed up superstars but a lot of them were still very good players: Gretzky had a 97 & 90pt season for the Rangers, Jagr had 123 & 96pt seasons, Esposito had several PPG+ seasons for them, Bure didn't play much for them but got 20pts in 12 games

Graves - Messier - Jagr
Gilbert - Esposito - Bathgate
Zuccarello - Gretzky - Gartner
Bure - Ratelle - Kovalev

Leetch - Park
McDonagh - Zubov
Greschner - Howell

Lundqvist
Richter
Zucc & Kovalev over Hadfield or Tkaczuk? Vickers?

Dave Keon - Syl Apps - Ricky Vaive
Lanny McDonald - Mats Sundin - Frank Mahovlich
Charlie Conacher - Ted Kennedy - Eric Lindros
Daryl Sittler - Doug Gilmour - George Armstrong
Auston Matthews - Andy Bathgate - Vincent Damphousse

Borje Salming - Tim Horton
Ian Turbull - Al Iafrate
Brian Leetch - Babe Pratt
Larry Murphy - Tomas Kaberle

Turk Broda
Johnny Bower
Terry Sawchuk
Jacques Plante

godly
Honourable mention to Joe Nieuwendyk, Gary Roberts & Alex Mohilny

Man, Boston is strong.

Marchand - Thornton - Bergeron
Bucyk - Esposito - Linseman
Samsonov - Oates - Neely
Middleton - Allison - Cashman

Bourque - Park
Chara - Orr
Wesley - Shore

Thomas
Rask

Pens would be unbeatable against other teams all time teams, the only thing that could stop them is an all time NHL team

Take out Samsonov & Allison. Input O'Reilly, Schmidt.
Also, someone should talk to you about Gerry Cheevers or Tiny Thompson.

Hmmmmm....the enthusiasm is nice, but the Pens aren't in the same stratosphere as the Habs. Granted, the Pens could field a formidable forwards corps, but the defensemen are......lacking.

Smh. Stop saying Montreal is untouchable, you guys clearly never read my post. Don’t get me wrong one can argue Montreal is number 1 and that’s fine but Detroit’s all time roster is right there and some can argue better. You can compare the entire rosters or 6 on 6 don’t matter Habs and Wings is pretty much a toss up. If you don’t understand this you have no idea what you’re on about so stop posting. Honestly I don’t even know why I’m wasting time posting here it’s getting as bad as Facebook posts people just say garbage it’s embarrassing the ignorance.
You wasted time with 16 posts in 8 1/2 years of membership?

Well done..though im not comfortable with Coffey and Jagr being on the team. Their stints were too short and at the end of their career.

It would be like including Darryl Sittler or Adam Oates.

Id replace Jagr with Tim Kerr and Coffey with Andre Dupont.
If you are thinking this, then yes for sure. But overall Jagr and Coffey are one of the best players who played NHL ever.

Taking players who’ve played for your favorite team, who would be on your all time line up & which team has the best all-time lineup?

Rangers:

Kurri - Gretzky - Jagr
Bure - Esposito - Lafleur
Dione - Messier - Bathgate
Robitaille - LaFontaine - Gartner

Leetch - Park
Greshnar - Horton
Harvey - Zubov

Lundqvist
Plante
Sawchuk

That’s not much of an “all-time” team

Calgary says hello like a kid trying to play with his older brother's friends

Having the second best team in the NHL for a decade isn't anything to scoff at. Those mid/late 80's and very early 90's Flames/Oilers teams were superb.

Without thinking about it much teams in the Original 6 have an big advantage over any team that came after them. My guess is if we did the top 6-8 teams the original 6 would be in those spots. When All is said and done Montreal won 23 cups so do the math

I've never really heard someone mention Calgary for an all time team though, they wouldn't contend at all with the top ones.

Lot of people shoe horning players who barely spent any real time with their club into their all time lineup. Seriously people even forget Jagr played in Dallas he shouldnt be on their all time team

the last elite forward the habs had was what 40 years ago?

good luck outscoring mario, jagr, sid, malkin, francis along with many other elite scorers

They were. Doesn't mean an all time Calgary team comes all that close to an all time Montreal team that had several similar/better decades
