Which Team Has Best All-Time Lineup?

Renberg before his injury was 1.00 ppg while having elite speed, big size and grit level of the charts.

renberg was big part of the best line ever (legion of doom)

Huge fan of the LOD line, but they are not the best ever. One of, but not THE best. Maybe best name though. French Connection and Triple Crown compete for that title as well.

Michel Goulet - Phil Esposito - Peter Bondra
Wendel Clark - Doug Gilmour - Theo Fleury

Bobby Orr - Paul Coffey
Kimmo Timonen - Phil Housley

Dominik Hasek

Which team did they all play for?

Blackhawks.

Add some pretty good players ala Mikita, Hull, Savard, Larmer, Kane, Toews, Chelios, Wilson, Keith, Pilote etc. and you have a top-5 alltime lineup.

So, does STL get to list Gretzky?

I think that only works if the player listed is only rated for how he was during the time he played for that team, i.e. a NYR Gretzky was not the same as an Oiler Gretzky, a Nordique(Avs) Lafleur was nowhere near the player a Canadiens Lafleur, Hartford Howe,etc...

Lehtinen - Modano - Hull
Benn - Lindros - Jagr
Nieuwendyk - Seguin - Spezza
Arnott - Carbonneau - Verbeek

Hatcher - Zubov
Sydor - Klingberg
Robidas - Daley

Belfour
Turco

Something like this, just quick with Dallas Stars players only.

Judging from the performance as an Oiler, unless you want me including the corpse of Adam Oates... And keeping some of the historical lines intact

McDavid-Gretzky-Kurri
Anderson-Messier-Draisaitl
Smyth-Weight-Hemsky/Tikkanen/Eberle/Guerin
Hall-RNH-Hemsky/Tikkanen/Eberle/Guerin

Pronger-Coffey
Lowe-S. Smith
Souray-Vishnovsky
Fuhr
Ranford

Sens

Heatley Spezza Alfredsson
Havlat Yashin Hossa
Fisher Bonk Stone
Hoffman Zibanejad Vermette

Karlsson Chara
Redden Phillips
Volchenkov Gonchar

Hasek
Anderson

Edmonton and Calgary say hello.

Look at the amount of Hall of Famers that played for Montreal. No team comes close to them.

Moore-Beliveau-M Richard
Gainey-Morenz-Lafleur
Mahovlich-H Richard- Geoffrion
Blake- Lemaire- Cournoyer

Harvey-Robinson
Savard-Lapointe
Bouchard-Lappierre

Roy
Dryden

And I’ve left off guys like Lach, Lalonde, Auliet, Plante, Vezina, Schutt, Olmstead. I’m also not using silly metrics where a player played there past their prime or for a cup of Coffey (Oates in Edmonton, Gretzky in St Louis.)

All of those players are Hall of Famers. Which all time team can come close to that?

Brett Hull-Adam Oates-Bernie Federko
Glenn Anderson-Wayne Gretzky-Dickie Moore
Dale Hawerchuk-Doug Gilmour-Brendan Shanahan
Paul Kariya-Peter Stastny-Joe Mullen

Chris Pronger-Al MacInnis
Scott Stevens-Doug Harvey
Phil Housley-Guy Lapointe

Healthy scratches: Keith Tkachuk, Rod Brind'Amour, Jeff Brown

Martin Brodeur
Glen Hall

suck it, Montreal

I'm utterly shocked we've made it this far and no one has said the Avalanche/Nordiques. I'm not gonna throw together a four line team. Rather I'm just gonna give you the star studded cast of players who have been with them.

Sakic, Sundin, Forsberg, Nolan, Kariya, Selanne, Andreychuk, Goulet, Peter Stastny, Foote, Blake, Bourque, Roy and that's just off the top of my head. I'd take that lineup against anyone except for maybe the GOAT Red Wings -who would push a series to 7 games just like in the 90's

If you get to use ALL the players then this is the best all time team in my opinion.

No offense to Bouchard and Laperrière, who I've never seen play, but my third pairing would definately be Markov-Subban, in their prime.

Or maybe even Weber-Subban, why not?

Pittsburgh's top six is in the running for best all time.

Lemieux, Crosby, Jagr, Malkin, Francis, followed by a choice of someone like Recchi or Kessel to round things out.

I think like some have said the original 6 has a huge advantage here. Ill attempt a Bruins All Time Team.

Johnny Bucyk - Phil Esposito - Cam Neely
Rick Middleton - Adam Oates - Wayne Cashman
Brad Marchand - Patrice Bergeron - Ken Hodge
Ken Linesman - Joe Thornton - Terry O'Reilly

Bobby Orr - Ray Bourque
Eddie Shore - Zdeno Chara
Brad Park - Dit Clapper

Gerry Cheevers
Tiny Thompson
Tim Thomas

Could be wrong here and there. As far as original 6 goes, I think forward wise were a little weak depth wise. Goalies, not sure tbh. Two were way before my time but have excellent stats. Timmy probably put up some of the best goal tending I personally have ever witnessed just for a shorter stretch then some other big names. Where we really shine is the D of course. My god, that first pairing would be unreal to watch. Not to mention the second pairing being the most feared of all time I would guess. Anyways, overall it's gotta be Montreal as much as that pains me lol.

These threads would work better if you used a player from a specific year. That way the rangers wouldn’t have Lindros and Bure and claim they were amazing.

Agree. Otherwise you have teams like the Bruins adding Brian Leetch to the bottom pair and the Kings having Jarome Iginla, Vincent Lecavalier and Terry Sawchuk.

The Lindros that played for the Stars shouldn't be in any kind of all-time lineup neither should the Jagr ^^
