Which real good players will be traded this year?

Saskatoon officially starting the deconstruction of their roster today, with a big move coming. This one isn't the Molendyk move (although reading the tea leaves, that one is just waiting for the world Juniors to finish).

Pretty sure Brandon Lisowsky to Victoria is the move.

Only saw the Royals once (against the Tips just before American Thanksgiving) and they looked really good, the best I've seen the Royals look in a few years. Winning a playoff series should be a minimum expectation this season.

Lots of trades already, none of the big pieces have moved yet either. Cristall should be moved before the 10th. Mynio, Price, & Molendyk should go as well once they get back from the world juniors.

Cristall to Lethbridge or Calgary? (Or any of the other top 8 eastern teams apart from Saskatoon, conference is wide open.)

I could see Mynio or Molendyk headed to PG.

Price to any playoff-bound team except PG, don’t see Lamb giving our biggest rival any picks/prospects.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on Lethbridge? Think they can add again? Who gets cristall from Kelowna?
I think Lethbridge has to make another move to really contend, Cristall would be a good move for them. Him and Yager would be dynamite together.

Could see them going for one of Mynio or Price instead of Cristall though, might come down to the cost for each player.

Yeah canes have been playing with 6 players missing for a month with the world juniors and Marques injury… could be very good when they finally all play together, I hope they make another big trade as well. Does Medicine Hat just go for next year then?

I think Medicine Hat is good enough that they don’t have to push any more chips in the pile to contend this year.

If they make a move this year it should be on defence. They are stacked on offence and Lidstrom coming back should be enough of an addition on that side of the ice.

I personally believe that Calgary is the class of the league and Lethbridge could beat MH in a playoff round.
MH is still a bit of a mess in their own zone and have the same problem as they had vs RD in the playoffs last season. They still need a boost.

Lethbridge has two 1sts and nothing else in the top 100 of the next 4 drafts. They don't have a lot of ammunition left for the biggest ticket, but could still find value to lengthen the lineup

Interesting. I only saw Calgary once (vs. Everett) and Lethbridge twice (vs. Everett and live vs. Portland) and was not particularly impressed with either.

But it's honestly so hard to tell when inter-conference is only once per season. And you can only play the teams in front of you.

lol that distinction goes to Everett. Easily the best team in the dub.

Yeah, but let’s be honest lol… Everett always seems to not do well come playoff time.
I'm not believing a damn thing until playoff time.

As another certain Pacific Northwest team in a certain bowl game yesterday demonstrated, sometimes things just just don't go well for the anointed ones...

MH has 19 picks in the 2025 WHL Draft plus their US picks. They need to move them, if only to grab picks in down the road or someone off of another teams list.

Wenatchee is going to be picking up a goalie from someone. Word is they thought they were getting Kykkanen from the BCHL, but then he changed his mind last minute and the Hauser trade had already gone through. Calgary wouldn't include Miller in the deal, so the Wild were left scrambling to find someone.
