Wright is the safest bet to become a star. We all want to sound smart and say. "...see....see....I said Juraj was going to be the best player!!!" and maybe some they will be right. But the consensus, and the highest probability of success is with Wright. Doesn't make it a slam dunk (like McDavid or Crosby) but it is still the safest pick.

I see a high likelihood that he is at least as good as say Johnathan Toews. That aint too shabby.

Wright all the way.

Shane Wright

No doubt in my mind. Big all around right handed center.
Center are the hardest position to fill up....and although I also like Cooley a lot, Wright is more of a complete player.

Wright is such an easy pick here. The kid took a year off because of covid and still put up 94 points, people are worrying a bit more than they should. Let him make up for that year next year if he doesn't look good in his 9 games.

Ultimately I'll trust the management with whoever they pick and how they develop him.

You win cups with the likes of guys like Toews. If that is the comparable I’m beyond thrilled

Can't remember the last time a team went with someone other then the consenus #1,
so the choice has pretty much already been made for the Habs.

J'comprend pas que le Canadien n'ai pas repêché un petit gars de chez nous avec le 1er choix, à Montréal en plus! L'occasion était belle!
- J.I.C or Leroux after the draft.

I'm not as high as some are on Wright, and I still believe that he's easily #1

It's 100% Shane Wright.

Like Nick Suzuki, this guy is a very good two-way C, high hockey IQ and great shot. Have potential to be a 30 goal scorer in NHL (even more).

Wright and Suzuki have potential to be both PPG two-way in NHL. It's a easy choice to make.

I'm big fan of Cooley and Slafkovsky, but Habs can't pass on Shane Wright IMO.

Wright is still my number 1. But he sometimes looks like he has conditioning issues.
