The thing about both Stanley Cup teams, is that I don't think we will ever see another team perform like the 2012 and 2014 teams. 2012 where they just steamrolled everyone in their path, going up 3-0 in every single series against the #1, 2, and 3 seeds was amazing. And the 2014 team going down 3-0 in the 1st round and then coming back and winning game 7, then go another 2 series going to game 7s as well. It was unlike anything that I have ever seen before.
I'm going to go with 2014, by a very slim margin, based solely on the fact that we went to 3 straight game 7s and won every single game. I've never seen a team go through so much adversity and come out on top every single time.
A couple of funny thoughts. First, during last season there was a thread started on the main board about the league's big 3 teams and there was a particular poster who argued the Kings shouldn't be included because they hadn't won a division title as part of their 2 (soon to be 3) year run of Cup and WCF at the time. It was a dumb argument then and it's even dumber now that the Kings won again and were 3rd in the Pacific.
I remember after the Game 6 loss vs. Chicago that Stoll basically laughed it off and said something like of course we're going to have to win this in 7 like the others. That they could lose a clincher in the last few minutes like that and still have that positive attitude to win Game 7 is what really makes this team special.
