Where is Rantanen? Who is Rantanen? Why is Rantanen? What is Rantanen?

So his streak ends at 13 goals in a row where he either scores or assists. Wonder when we'll see that one beat.

Sure didn't show it in the series when it mattered most.
Literally the only Av who didnt show up...

he was why Colorado lost.

Stars would be golfing if Rantanen was happy to sign in Carolina
He showed up at the right time, but the Avs are the reason the Avs lost. They were gifted a weakened Stars team who they outscored in a 7 game series and still lost. They beat themselves. Even Rantanens typing goal was an own goal mistake by the Avs. Lets not pretend like he's McDaviding around the ice dominating. The puck is bouncing his way at the right time.

if Rantanen wasn't a member of the Dallas Stars, Colorado would have won

i agree totally agree with the bolded, this is the least dominant leading playoff scoring performance in recent history. below is a previous post i made on this thread.
swear like 30% of Rantanen's points have all been lucky bounces/empty nets.. never seen so many flukes from the leading playoff scorer

Least dominant? He single handedly sent my team home

Some truth to this but...

In those plays he makes his own luck. The wraparound against the Avs is a prime example. He drives to the net, dekes everyone out, has the goalie out of position and centers it. It goes off an opposing defender and in. Lucky? Yes. But he created that play. It's not all just happenstance that he's scoring the way he is.

Good players tend to deserve their luck. Nothing isn't gonna happen if you are not going for it. These tend to be the happy accidents that you don't necessarily try but they come off anyway when you do right things.

yea but Dallas was supposed to be the deepest team in the league pre-Rantanen and all they gave up was a 5'8 4th liner + picks to get him

Take away Rantanen and give Dallas a Miro at 100%, Robertson at 100%, and Stank and they are still one of the deepest teams in the league. Getting Rantanen ended up being perfect timing because Dallas played the entire first round without their best dman who is also their best player and their leading goal scorer.

Hopefully Robertson can get to 100% by the end of this series and Miro can play next round if Dallas advances.

It's because this guy only watched the highlights he says they are flukes.

Rantanen has had a whole lot of other similar chances and created a lot of threat and because the amount of chances created it sometimes bounces in.

Look here he is.

………

A player has 12 points in a series, 4 points in game 7 but he didn’t make an impact

Only four players in NHL history have matched that. Some guys called Gretzky, Jagr, Lemieux and Pastrnak.

The previoys playoff recod was 9 goals

he was why Colorado lost.

You’d be amazed to find out how many have a problem saying that

Insteaf of sating the Avs lost because of the Avs, not because of Rantanen

? It's an NHL record, 0 players have matched that. Not even close, in fact. The previous record was 9, new record is 13.

I think the guy you were replying to was talking about regular season record. The Lemieux's 9 record was from playoffs
