Speculation: WHERE IN THE WORLD IS JESSE PULJUJARVI?

I do remember a few Sullivan comments about Puljujarvi needing to get the little details of the system right or whatever but I always found those comments by Sullivan hilarious because 90% of the Pens roster routinely make system mistakes
I agree, and I think the rigidity of Sullivan's system is one of the strongest arguments for firing him.

That said, I also think that smart players find a way to adapt and see the bigger picture. Acciari is in the lineup because he throws himself in front of pucks and takes a beating. He's endeared himself to his teammates and the coaches. So when he makes a mistake, it's perceived to be out of misplaced effort, not a lack of understanding.

I just think Puljujarvi struggled to make that adjustment. What's interesting is I think Tomasino, despite being scratched a little while back, has made more strides than Puljujarvi did in a shorter amount of time. Bunting is another example of someone who figured it out after struggling earlier this year. Neither of them is perfect, but they've bought some goodwill. I don't know that Puljujarvi ever did.

When one door closes, another better one opens. I hope he finds success in his future endeavors, and comes back to score a shit load of goals against Sullivans teams.

Mods, you can probably turn the lights off on this one.

Guess he's not ready to give up the dream. Seems he's hoping to catch someone's eye with regular playing time.
Hopefully he does well and the Panthers find a spot.

He’s pretty spot on. Sully did all he could to ruin any value had by sitting him despite icing worse player.

Really hoping he has success and can be added to the ever growing list of players that succeed after leaving.

I like how he is compared to guys who have lived in the top 6 most of the year and received powerplay time, while he received not 1 second of either, and said he didn't outperform those guys to maintain a spot, and then is compared to guys who are only good enough to get hit by a puck and said he couldn't do that good enough, yet never received an opportunity to try that.

Anyways I hope he gets a fair shot somewhere and absolutely goes off on any Sullivan coached team from here to forever.

It's bizarre to me that people think Mike Sullivan's usage of a guy who has 400 games in the NHL is why no other teams wanted Puljujarvi.

The entire league knows what Jesse Puljujarvi is at this point. He's not some under the radar guy coming out of nowhere that the Penguins hid from everyone else. He's a former top pick that every team is familiar with and knows what he offers. He plays the same exact way as he did when he was a prospect, he's just older and more broken down now.
