Speculation: WHERE IN THE WORLD IS JESSE PULJUJARVI?

I do remember a few Sullivan comments about Puljujarvi needing to get the little details of the system right or whatever but I always found those comments by Sullivan hilarious because 90% of the Pens roster routinely make system mistakes
I agree, and I think the rigidity of Sullivan's system is one of the strongest arguments for firing him.

That said, I also think that smart players find a way to adapt and see the bigger picture. Acciari is in the lineup because he throws himself in front of pucks and takes a beating. He's endeared himself to his teammates and the coaches. So when he makes a mistake, it's perceived to be out of misplaced effort, not a lack of understanding.

I just think Puljujarvi struggled to make that adjustment. What's interesting is I think Tomasino, despite being scratched a little while back, has made more strides than Puljujarvi did in a shorter amount of time. Bunting is another example of someone who figured it out after struggling earlier this year. Neither of them is perfect, but they've bought some goodwill. I don't know that Puljujarvi ever did.

When one door closes, another better one opens. I hope he finds success in his future endeavors, and comes back to score a shit load of goals against Sullivans teams.

Mods, you can probably turn the lights off on this one.

Guess he's not ready to give up the dream. Seems he's hoping to catch someone's eye with regular playing time.
Hopefully he does well and the Panthers find a spot.
