Speculation: WHERE IN THE WORLD IS JESSE PULJUJARVI?

They scored, but they got dominated in possession last night. Now, it's Edmonton, but the Oilers still had over 65% of the possession against that group.

It's a weird game... last night they did well with possession but lost. Fast is, he's playing well enough to not be the only one scratched for long periods of time. you could rotate in and out any of the bottom 6 and it wouldn't be an issue. The fact that Puljujarvi is being the poster boy of not playing the right way is baffling.

It really is baffling why it is him.

Sullivan got his wish. Seattle game is the start of a golden age, Penquins will get the details right without Jesse. De-fence!

I'm sure there's some minimum active players on roster requirement and JP on paper move prevents us moving a young learning prospect from getting to the big club
One of Rust or Malkin is headed to IR, possibly both. Puljujarvi does not require waivers at the moment, so he can be sent up and down easily.

There is an argument that a short recall for someone like Koivunen or McGroarty could disrupt their development. It pulls them out of their current flow to travel, play a game or two while someone is out for a week, and then go back down.

If it's longer term, then you would bring them up. But as a warm body, someone like Puljujarvi - just like Imama - isn't impacted as much long-term.
