I think that is his goal. I think he will want to play until the Olympic year.

Hard to say for sure but agree with after the Olympics guess. 2026 at 39 yo.

I was so wrong. Even last season he played at a 90 point pace. He could play well into his 40s if he really wanted to.

Crosby has 239 points to go before hitting 2000 career points. I have a feeling that he'll want to hit that in order to ruin it for McDavid. Crosby needs at least 3 more years for that, most likely 4 if he misses too many games. If I had to guess, Crosby retires at 42 while just barely hitting 2000 career points.

Of course he will, but 2000 points won't feel as special since Crosby has already hit it. It's just like when McDavid hit his 100 assist season and then Kucherov went and ruined it by also hitting 100 assists a few days later...
