Pretty well all the legends hit at least 39 it seems like. With enough of them getting to 40+.
More recently despite the game seemingly getting faster you've had Recchi, Selanne and Jagr pushing deeper into their 40s and that's forwards.
So as others have said it's about him switching teams. Honestly does it matter though? Not like Pens faithful will boo him in the least. Would be an upgraded Modano/Alfredsson situation at worst if it's not like Bourque going to a stacked team.
So I voted 40 finishing in 2028. Then there's the question of him caring about some of the longevity records. Does finishing 2nd to Gretz or even hitting 2,000 matter?? I think a 4th Cup matters.
