LOL. Maybe if the others had googly eyes. I heard it was actually 31 out of 32 teams.

I mean, Mike C said it. Except instead of "seem invisible", in the context of his post, he actually means "they are invisible".

Speaking of which, why are you bringing up Forsling in a Bouchard thread? Feeling insecure about how little he's impressed?
No he’s amazing. Enjoy your Stanley Cup.

I've only seen the highlight since I couldn't watch the game, but where the hell were his teammates?

And the refs? But we know what a joke officiating is.
In a scrum....Players engaged in a scrum don't usually have the time to look around the ice to see what happens.

Luckily he's an RFA and hopefully you understand how that works.

"somewhere" doesn't really matter here

Erik Karlsson signed a 7-year deal for 10.11% of the cap (would be $8.89M or so today) as an RFA back in 2012 when he had 4 years left untill UFA status.

Bouchard only has 3 years left untill UFA, alongside a longer history of production in the playoffs and in the regular season.

Now, we could argue a higher personal impact as evidenced by a Norris trophy win in 2012, much weaker linemates, and a lower-scoring era in Karlsson's favor. We wouldn't be wrong.

But on pure numbers Bouchard definitely has an argument to be paid a higher percentage of the cap on his next contract if he signs long-term than Karlsson received in '12.

All of which to say that if the Oilers end up paying less than $9M on a long-term contract with Bouchard I personally think they will have done well.

I do think Bouchard gets 9/10.5

I don't think he deserves it. I wouldn't pay, but that's what I think he gets
