Another brutal truth: Sweden owned Finland. For many years. Chicken finns more like it.

Canadians called all Euros soft, and still does it. Its not only directed to swedes. They always make fun of european hockey. Not only that, they also call european hockey "beer league" and "amateur". Finland is not part of Asia last time i checked.

Never heard anyone hate on Salo because of his heritage. People didn’t like him because of that unfortunate incident against Belarus.

Not to forget he was in goal vs Czechia in world 2004, let in 6 goals. And also in goal wc 2003 match against Finland when he let in 5 goals. Salo before Belarus game 02 was good but after that he turned into shit.

Still, he should never get a death threat if he made a mistake in the match. On the other hand, I say that Sweden already had a gold team in the SLC and could have been the winner four years earlier. Do you agree?
 
Something tells me that both teams defence is solid and the goalies will stand on their heads this time, 1-0 Finland in regulation.

I don’t know if Ullmark is in for Sweden yet or if its still Hellberg, Hellberg is Okay at this level but I’m not sure he has a near shut out in him against a team like Finland. However swedish team defense led by OEL has been excellent. If they can continue on that path, then maybe.

Are they not more swedish speaking areas of Finland than Åland? I think in Tammerfors, Uleåborg and Björneborg many speaks swedish..?

Neither of those cities are particularly swedish speaking. You'll find most swedish speakers at the coast. Mostly in Österbotten, Nyland and Egentliga Finland.

Ullmark and Marcus Pettersson wants to play and Garpenlöv wants them, but still waiting on clearence and stuff. Ullmark is a major uppgrade over Hellberg/Högberg/Dansk.

Asplund - Kellman - Friberg

Dahlin - Larsson
OEL - Gustafsson
Tömmernes - Lindholm
Pudas

Nordström, Friberg, Klingberg played over Grundström is something.

Åland should be the most Swedish-speaking area. The archipelago in SW finland is also very swedish-speaking, like Kimito and the vicinity. Then Vaasa, Tornio etc.

I've not really encountered much Swedish in Tammerfors Tampere. A ton of Chinese and Russian every day, but haven't heard any Swedish.
