If you can get some value out of Georgiev you do it now. For what, I'm not sure. Kinkaid is not a solution for the backup issue. We could use a RW (unless Kravtsov unf***s himself), and bottom-6 D (this would be fixed with Jones replacing Nemeth but Drury seems unwilling).

Otherwise, I'm more inclined to stay pat. This is not the year to push our chips in, even if we have the capspace.

From what I can tell Lehkonen can play RW although he's mainly played LW in the NHL, to me he seems like an ideal acquisition to take Hunt's role on the Panarin line. Though I am a bit curious how Gauthier would look there, Lehkonen would likely do very well on our 3rd line as well so one doesn't necessarily exclude the other.

Lehkonen is a good bottom-6 guy, great PKer and like stated above, friends with Kakko. That said, I thought we kinda made those acquisitions with Blais and Goodrow already. Him as a rental if we can get him for cheap sure, but beyond this year? I don't know. And he will have plenty of teams looking for him I think. He's a great bottom-6 forward.

reuniting Panarin with Kane would do wonders for that line and the offense in general. I think we should pull the trigger and trade some of our young prospects. Cant keep all of them.

Cant keep all of them -- keep most of them by moving vets and when we get a legit surplus which is mostly not the case just yet, THEN we still don't do a risky splurge.

We trade up 2 A prospects and a B for an AAA stud and a better A prospect.

accelerate develpment.

Then we have nobody we can trade to create cap

we could somehow induce Trouba to do us a solid and waive
then we could see if Hertl would be open to a 1-2 yr deal
