Too much? Anyways I’d take Gourdes full contract and let Strome go in the off season. Pretty sure it’ll work contract wise. Chytil is meh as well as Georgiev so giving up Krav for both Gourde and Giordano could help for a cup push..

Agreed but they’d still likely keep Panarin with Strome, and have Horvat center the third line. The other guy who would be interesting as a center rental is Giroux. Huge cap hit that is expiring and we could fit this year and he could add some depth scoring. Not sure the flyers would ever trade their captain to the rangers, but maybe if rebuilding.

If Strome wants the big bucks and it’s clear they won’t get a deal done I would fine going after Gourde.

if we’re talking pure rental, Smith seems likely, maybe a 7th D like Holden

Giroux would check a lot of boxes but I think he’d have to force his way here and it would cost a boatload.

I would kick the tires on Holtby or Khudobin from Dallas. They have 4 NHL goalies and the cost can't be much.

Edit: apparently they are down to 3. Stars just announced Bishop will spend the rest of his contract on LTIR.

Seriously, what would you give up for Gourde? I mean he could solidify this group in a Butch Goring type of way for the bulk of this teams window of opportunity. I would say obviously Laf, Kakko, Shesterkin and Fox are off the table but anyone else under 25 who you wouldn't include if they threw the for for sale sign on Gourde and Gio as a package?
