Normally, picking our top 3 is real easy. This time it was quite hard. I would've gone Stancl too but Hradec and Sale were awesome. It's a great problem to have. I also would've waited till after Bronze game. One of these guys can still be a hero!

It's funny because no real answer. Around 2020 we got better at player development. I assume that started earlier and has paid off starting in 2020. But the Junior leagues are still bad. The U20 league is undesirable for top prospects. Czech2 is undesirable for top Czech prospects too. Most of them leave for CHL or Europe (Felcman in NLA, Stancl/Badinka were Sweden, Kos is Finnish). So it's still a mess from U17 to U20 at home. Or at least IMO. But the Extraliga has never looked stronger and the U20 and U18 teams have also looked very good for the last 4 years based on Hlinka and U20.

Coaching and roster selection has improved dramatically. This year we even had controversy over leaving behind players like Curran, Badinka, Mrtka and Benak. We actually almost have a B team.lol

He reminds of Jaskin. Big power forward with size and really nice hands and a quick release. Hope it ends better for him though! Blue's are going to be a fav of many Czech fans in about 3 seasons IMO.

I saw that comparison. We have been throwing around Handzus and hoping Stancl's skating being better than Jaskin means he will have a real NHL impact. I saw a Brock Nelson comparable too, what do you think of that one?

Those are good too.. Handzus is really good! We shall see. He's already played pro so his transition to AHL should be relatively smooth. I figure 2 years away from maybe getting a game with the big boys. St. Louis also has a nice cupboard of prospects, tough team to breakthrough on. Think they'll be quite good quite fast. Hoping for a few of the Czechs to be a part of that, especially Jiricek!

Cihar might around in that range... that'd be a good one to get! Benak might too. I think your Euro scout is a Czech but I forgot which one he is... Jan Vopat! If this works, thank him. If it doesn't, blame him.lol
