What's up with the Avalanche jerseys?

What is this design? Some 20 years ago they last won the cup and their jerseys were quite nice actually, now especially the home jerseys are just, well, ugly.

I mean, they play beautiful hockey, but my eyes still hurt from watching it.

This is the rare case where angled shoulder stripes work better than horizontal.

That being said, it's a pretty minor difference. Are you just reacting to the slight lightening of the colors? The blue pants?

I like their new jerseys a lot. The home ones anyway, and I love the nordiques ones. The majority of their newer jerseys have been great imo

I wasnt sure how to feel about the blue helmet and pants when they first announced it, but after seeing it on the ice a few times and getting used to it I think it looks great. The uniform flows really nicely together now IMO

Big foot > Colorado 'C' on the shoulder. The black and white trim > grey trim. The Blue was a littler darker hue too I think. Not a fan of the blue pants and gloves either.

Older jerseys were just better in general. Koho and CCM made much better shit than Reebok and Adidas. Don't like the NHL embled on the neck area either on the new school jerseys

I agree with this. The looser fit looked better on the players and I don’t like some of the design choices like the small shoulder indentations on the current jerseys.

I like the homes, never was a fan of the black clashing with the blue and maroon and a new look was much needed.

Their roads are terrible though, especially the white helmets. They should use the Nordiques retros as the full time roads

Always been some of my favorite jerseys in the league, color-wise. They got lost a little bit in the RBK Edge era with the dumb piping, but I think they're back to being really nice now.

Do not care for the blue pants and helmet though. On the colored version, it's just too much blue now. And it's the opposite problem with the white version - there isn't enough blue in the jersey, so the blue pants look awkward.

I like pretty much all their jerseys, except for their road setup.

The switch to the blue looks great on the home unis. I’d love to see the Nords jerseys for a game at some point too.

I’ll never understand why they went from something unique like Bigfoot on their shoulders, to something the Habs, Flames, and Canucks already do by putting a giant “C” on their jerseys.

I like their jerseys but the logo definitely feels very 90s still. Honestly ever since they introduced their alternates I've thought they should make them their permanent home/away set. I think this would look really nice and clean in white too:
