He is back to the Caufield of last season. If he had Suzuki/Anderson as linemates and played under MSL the whole year, he probably would be contender for the Calder.

You have to wonder where the team would be if they made the coaching change a month into the season. That musclehead really laid an egg. Now the Kings can enjoy his jocularity.

Caufield needs to improve his reads, get better at puck battles and after that he'll likely have a massive breakout

(a lot of the time he coasts and cherry picks for breakaways, learning the game and being a better 200ft player will give him lots more opportunities)

the before and after of this thread is hilarious. Alot of you need to start taking a deep-ass breath before posting stuff.

Including MSL's first three games where they were sorta getting their bearings, they've played at a 95 point pace. A 95 point pace that's still not been the planned opening night lineup. Still, that's a bubble pace likely. So, not anywhere near as bad as they were but not good enough.

The biggest thing is that's 95 point pace without Allen for most of it and Price for all of it. We've been using our AHL goalies. Absolutely maddening.

Oh totally. That's what I mean about playing the whole season from day one without every having iced the intended lineup even once. Montembault has been a pleasant surprise, but he's no Allen who's no Price.
