A deal/steal similar to Dach would be niceWhat Laf has done up to this point to deserve Suzuki, Canfield, Dach, Ghule? The answer is a big nothing.

Hughes said that they didn’t want to lose assets. He also said that if they waive Pezzetta, there are are several teams that would make a claim.A bit perplexed as to why Pitlick is in Laval and Pezzetta is in Montreal.
I seriously doubt that. It's actually quite a laughable statement.Hughes said that they didn’t want to lose assets. He also said that if they waive Pezzetta, there are are several teams that would make a claim.

Not when someone actually traded for Reaves. Guerin would likely claim him. He prefers plugs over actual talent.I seriously doubt that. It's actually quite a laughable statement.

not sure if seriousNot when someone actually traded for Reaves. Guerin would likely claim him. He prefers plugs over actual talent.
Not necessarily, never discount the James Dolan factor, if he loses patience and wants to go for it, Drury will do as he’s told.It would cost the habs Suzuki, Caufield, Dach, or Guhle. None of these makes sense to trade.
If Monahan is 50 from the waist down we've got some players eyeing their 100th.28 from the waist up, 50 from the waist down? No double entendres please.
Are you doubting that he said it or you’re doubting that teams would claim him?I seriously doubt that. It's actually quite a laughable statement.
Too much cap hit to trade him now. It’s all really dependent on his health, when you look at all the injuries and surgeries in recent years.
Would Hughes consider dealing him now rather than wait for the deadline? The advantage of right now is how Monahan is looking to be in full possession of his attributes, able to play without impediment and producing like he can.
Will that be the case at the trading deadline?
Could be offset by an incoming asset.Too much cap hit to trade him now.
Reaves wins fights, Pezz lose fights. There's a difference here. Not when someone actually traded for Reaves. Guerin would likely claim him. He prefers plugs over actual talent.
I only caught the last 14:00 minutes of the third plus the OT. I can't remember the last time we scored 3 times in the shootout if ever?
It's not easy to do.
Gallagher, Dadonov, Drou-Drou, Armia, Evans...the list is long. I understand he had a rough start but he was one of our best forwards last year.A bit perplexed as to why Pitlick is in Laval and Pezzetta is in Montreal.
I believe you. I just don't think many teams are interested by a very average 4th liner. Are you doubting that he said it or you’re doubting that teams would claim him?
Or both?
I wouldn’t call him an asset. What we’d get like a 7th rounder for him? He’s a really great guy but not a good hockey player. Our worst player by far that’s in the current lineupHughes said that they didn’t want to lose assets. He also said that if they waive Pezzetta, there are are several teams that would make a claim.
Not wanting to lose assets is also why there was a plan to rotate D but that can’t last. It looks like Hughes is just buying time for the right deal to come along.
That early 2000’s logic has expired. The game has become so soft that you don’t even need scrubs to defend anyone anymorePezzeta provides a specific need other players do not have. We need some physicality in our forwards core. I want Pitlick with the team, though.
Pez was better last year than any point this year. He’s garbageGotta give Pez a chance, he's getting better
not sure if serious
There’s lots of politics in sports so I wouldn’t believe everything management saysAre you doubting that he said it or you’re doubting that teams would claim him?
Or both?
It's too early to say and I don't have a cristal ball but sometimes the "him" makes the 180.Gallagher, Dadonov, Drou-Drou, Armia, Evans...the list is long. I understand he had a rough start but he was one of our best forwards last year.
Really don't understand the 180 on him.

I like this. I can see itMonahan is the hockey player's hockey player. I Love vets like him that "gets" the game. Reminds me of Staal and Perry a bit. You bring these type of players and they automatically change your team.
