What's the deal with all the underachieving players this season?

I don't need to even name names. Go down the rosters and every team has one or more players who is/are massively underachieving. Like 1 or 2 goals or 5 or 7 points in 20 games when they're expected to be close to or better than PPG players. Players with huge salaries playing like they want to be bought out or waived. Never seen anything like this and we're at the quarter mark of the season.

Stars have several of these guys.

Ice cold powerplay can do that. For Robertson and Hintz though they were just very meh at even strength before last game

Johnston mostly just unlucky

Heiskanen has not been very active offensively outside of a couple of games and the powerplay not doing anything definitely hurts his numbers a lot

Oilers PP being anemic right now is killing them at the wrong moments. RNH and Hyman being cold haven't helped at all.

J-Rob has one PP point so far I think. Just absurd

I decided to trade for multiple Oilers on my fantasy team assuming they would dominate BUT it’s heavily biting me in the ass and now are very regrettable trades… already had Draisaitl but decided to acquire Hyman, RNH and Ekholm

Damn you Oilers!!

Flyers:

Morgan "Toilet Seat" Frost

25 years old. 1g, 5a in 16GP. Healthy scratched multiple times. 40+ points in past two seasons. Flyers definitely hoped he would finally turn a corner this year but his progress seems stalled, at least in Philly, at least under Torts.

He's in the final year of 2x2.1M, will still be RFA.

In typical Flyera fashion I guarantee this guy will go somewhere else and immediately end up playing well lol.

This happens every year and there are always an equal amount of guys overperforming expectations.

This year they're just all on the Jets and Caps

Why is it typical Flyers for him to do well elsewhere. Bobrovsky is pretty old news.
