A healthy scratch of Trouba would be a great wakeup call to the team. Id also accept a scratch of Lindgren, but Im sure the Rangers will pretend its injury related.

That being said, Im sorry youve been treated so unfairly Zac.

i'm not ready for Kreider to get punted off the team. he provides value for his cap hit.

if he wants to coast until the playoffs i don't mind that. i just want to see late close game deployment reflect that.

im his biggest fan on here but Jones was pretty bad last night. it'll definitely be him who is scratched. Lindgren wasn't any better but you just know they wont ever sit him.

agree Jones looked outmatched last night.

could we afford Chabot if we traded Kreider and Lindgren for him?

would chabot/pinto for kreider/lindgren be the greatest trade of all time or what

Panarin Chytil Lafreniere
Cuylle Trocheck Kakko
Pinto Zibanejad Smith
Edstrom Carrick Vesey

Chabot Fox
Miller Schneider
Jones Trouba

we all have the right to be wrong
The easiest solution is to play Will the Thrill with Kreider and Zib next season. Opens up a spot for Berard, Perrault, or Othman. But I do think one of them not named Perrault ends up moving at the deadline for whatever they need/want.

If I'm Drury I'm looking under every rock to make some substantial moves. This team is not winning a cup. They do not have the motors nor physicality. They overachieved last season. I'm not sure how to fix this group but I do realize that they have a ceiling for sure.

Never seen a team more in need of a shakeup trade. Too comfortable. Love Foxy and want him here but him essentially saying their record was good when asked how they plan to turn things around was a check engine light moment.

Fox is one of the concerns I have in physical playoffs. I'm happy to have him but I do not see a great pairing partner for him in the playoffs. He needs somebody physical who can take a check and still move the puck. I think Drury wanted a shake up but the Trouba non trade and other factors handcuffed him. In order to change the team we are going to have to be willing to give up some big names and hope other teams will be willing to part with what we need. It is a very tough puzzle for me. In the past I could look at a team and say this is what they need. On this team it is not that easy because while we have skilled players many of them are flawed or 1 dimensional.

I’m tired of people giving Drury a pass. The guy has had chances to make a deal and he hasn’t.

Anyone with a brain could have come to the conclusion that the next logical step once Trouba wasn’t going to get moved, was to trade Lindgren. And yet he sat on his hands and didn’t do shit

So yeah

He provides more value in a trade. Im sick of him and cant wait for the day we rid him.

Most players avoid the check and move the puck. :)

In all seriousness, if the team was better at puck retrievals and quick first pass they wouldn't have to worry as much when it comes to the physical playoff style.

I think its a bit strange you get on posters for being too critical, but then say you're fine with a leader of our team coasting until the playoffs. What tone does that set for the team?

Edit: I understand he's older and cant go full throttle the entire season, but at this point, coasting isnt acceptable.

I see the NYR Twitter gossip mongers (Lazarus, Mead) speculating Mancini call up is due to an impending trade, and not just that Chytil is healthy and they don’t wait to waive Ruhwedel. Maybe this time they’ll be right, first time for everything.

That would be great and our players would love to avoid checks but that is the problem in the playoffs. Its just like the drill we used to run over and over again in practices. Drive the puck behind the goal line and see who comes out with it. Florida, Tampa and others came out with it on both ends.

I doubt it but the only trade that makes sense is Lindgren if they are comfortable playing Schneider with Trouba, which did seem to work earlier in the season.

Well any player that provides more value in a trade than on the ice could/should be looked at but how can you know what value he would bring in a trade?

GMs would stumble all over him based off his past. He still can score and is good in front of net and is a decent contract.

He would bring back at least a a first and a top prospect.

but u already see his play starting to decline. so trade him while he has good value.

This veteran core aint winning shit. Cut bait get top picks prospects and remain competitive with our core of good young players we have.
