Why is this thread even open or allowed. Two people died, some clowns decided to spread rumors and then make some awful jokes about it.
Because it's late in the East and they are probably asleep. Also if it were to be true, it's called grieving and giving people time to absorb it and privacy. Your curiosity and ours doesn't give us the right to know anything.

It’s not like this happened a half hour ago. It’s been like 6 hours since the incident.
People can grieve and absorb regardless of what the media is doing.

Which public figure? Tim Peel is not a public figure. A disgraced former referee.
The longer this isn't outright denied by either Columbus, his agent or a well connected reporter, it seems more likely. There is no way this hasn't gotten back to his agent or the Blue Jackets at this point. If true, an absolute tragedy.
