What's going on with Alex Galchenyuk?

He was doing well until his knee met Kopitar. He was never the same player after that, starting to dump the puck to not get hit.

The guy had a 30 goal season by age 22. I thought he was going to be a good player for the habs

This is very interesting. The legendary Montréal night life can't be responsible for all of them. Can it?

It's been the ruin of many a young man. Almost claimed Price from us.

I think that it's as much the kids put into the nightlife as much as the nightlife itself. Galchenyuk's dad didn't really seem like the type who'd help him properly navigate through that kind of thing, wasn't it Nathan Beaulieu who's dad was investigated for being a drug runner?

I'm just glad the culture finally shifted and those things seem to be a thing of the past.

Total drafted players to play in NHL: 108
Percent of players to play in NHL: 51.2
Average NHL Career Games: 199
Average NHL Career Goals: 24
Average NHL Career Points: 68
Average NHL Career PIM: 82

2012 seems good for quantity but bad for quality.

I vaguely remember that hit. It knocked him out for a while. I'm trying to remember if that was before or after his 30 goal campaign.

Man oh man
He was my favorite player in MTL back then
Im still rooting for him

Since the Kopitar incident he lost a step and he never ever recovered. But the disrespect he has gotten around the league is astounding. I mean just have him play in Europe or the AHL if he's that bad. He should do a Players Tribune.

I remember that play, but didn't remember the player involved. You might be on to something.

Definetly not a good look to be on nearly as many teams as years you've been in the league.

Weak draft year . Yakupov, Murray and Galchenyuk all rated at the top of the draft all failure when you consider where they were picked

Don’t forget Reinhart. Or do, I’m trying too.

Burke went on record saying if Toronto had the 1ov he takes Morgan Reilly. People mocked him for it. Well...

Was his hockey IQ in his knee? He makes stupid stupid plays and never learns from them.
Perhaps a bit too simplified to say that it is hockey IQ only that influences on-ice decisions.

Sounds like the reward of NOT dumping the puck in his mind no longer outweighs the lack of risk when dumping it. If that makes any sense.
