What wingers do you think should be tried as a centre and what centres should be converted to a winger?

Laine looked pretty good at C last season when he played there.

Still think he should be living where Ovi lives in the offensive zone though. Especially on the PP. I get mad when he isn’t at the top of the circle with his stick in the air on the PP. Well, unless it’s against the Pens. It’s fine.

Kuznetsov should move to wing
It's more like they need a winger who can take faceoffs.

One thing Kuznetsov is still obscenely good at even when he's tuned out and not trying is moving through neutral and gaining the zone, you want him taking the puck as a center deep so he can beat one or two and create an advantage through neutral.

His problem is being incredibly bored and likely waaaay over Laviolette, and faceoffs, but just give him a winger for the draw and then let him play center.

Move Kaprisov to center so we can stop saying he doesn’t have a good center to play with anymore
They did put Boldy at Center for a bit at the end of the season, though that was when their top 3 actual centers were all injured. They have experimented with him there multiple times though, and he does center Kap and Zucc when they load the line up for after PK shifts. I don't think Boldy's foot speed from the past two seasons is at the level the Wild would like for their Center demands, but he does have time to develop that, and his faceoffs and D positioning are already pretty good.

I don't want to ruffle any feathers. But with one being a passer and one being a sniper. Could Marner and Matthews flip flop?
And didn't Rantanen play center for the Avs for a bit?

Marner did play center for London, but as another poster said if he was a center we would be better having on another line. Matthews is elite at faceoffs and in general at what makes a good center. Good two way game.

Marner mainly it's his size. He is better off being on the wing where he has a bit of space to skate and open up some lanes. Matthews does well in tight spaces with his hands which is why he is so good around the net, and has a way of getting his stick open in traffic and getting a shot off even when covered.

They honestly complement each other so well.

People might say Jack Hughes should be a winger but it’s never going to happen even if he never wins a faceoff again
Also Hughe's needs to be Center so he can do his Wide turns, As a winger he would just crash into the boards.

yes I stole this joke.

Bradley Kevin Marchand played his first few years with the Bruins listed as a C/LW, might be time to try that again.
