I started watching Teacup, Peacock's new supernatural horror mystery. It's about something mysterious and unnatural threatening a couple of rancher families and it's... OK. It feels like the lower budget show that it is, with writing, directing and acting that aren't bad, but a clear step down from much better shows on other streaming services. The writing is very mystery box based, like Lost or Dark. Halfway through, there are still many more questions than answers. I thought that there'd be more horror, based on the reviews that I read. It's mostly just supernatural mystery. It still hasn't really hooked me, but I'll finish it. It helps that most of the episodes are only 30 minutes.

Edit: The second half of the series was boring. Even with the short episodes and 5-hour total series runtime, it dragged and took me a while to finish. I don't recommend it.

Still working my way through Lost, over halfway through season 4 now. This season hasn't been as good but still enjoying. I find it funny how often characters go strolling through the jungle by themselves or in a very small group despite they're being a deadly smoke monster, deadly booby traps, polar bears and hostile natives out there. Fun show to watch though. I'm glad I'm able to binge it as opposed waiting week to week. All the cliffhangers would've drove me crazy.

Watching Lost as it aired was incredibly frustrating, they'd air an episode then the next one was two weeks away, it finally airs then you gotta wait three weeks for the next.

Oh yeah that would've been annoying. Especially when they're only 40 minute episodes that sometimes don't even touch on the cliffhanger from the previous episode. That being said, I do kind of like the shorter episode length as it really lets me zip through them versus most shows that I watch which are hour long episodes. Of course, there's advantages to having longer episodes as well.

I just rewatched the OG Battlestar Galactica. and I can now see why Lucas and Star Wars were pissed

He was just pissed at John Dykstra for being a producer and using the cameras techniques he in invented [including the camera rigs], that Lucasfilm paid for on Star Wars. Lucasfilm tried to sue for plagiarism but lost [then settled later ], which is pretty funny when you look at how much Lucas "borrowed" from other movies . Watch the end of the 1955 movie "The Dam Busters", the SW trench run is an almost shot by shot recreation from that movie, including direct quotes.

I watched the first two episodes of NBC's St Denis Medical..
It's basically 'Superstore' transferred from a retail store to an emergency room. And they even brought some of the old Cloud 9 employees (the actress who played Sandra, and the demented pharmacist).
Typical workplace humor. First episodes weren't bad. I'll probably keep watching.

Just did my annual rewatch of The Wire. Never gets old.

Always makes me realize how I took the early 2000's for granted when HBO was putting out elite content for fun.
Where did it all go wrong?

I just finished White Collar. Overall fun series.

Heard that they plan on rebooting the series. Been 10 years since it last aired in 2014. But, with TV, they can pick fewer or longer years in between.
Curious to see how they have the main character Neal. He straggled both sides of con man and going straight throughout the series. He cares about people and had made connections. Didn't want to be on the run again. But, flip side, he loves the challenge of pulling off a heist, has an admiration for art, plus would need money to fund his lifestyle (more service like food, wine, travel, than material things, aside from his clothing and a place with a view).

See how they set the main characters to reconnect again. Assuming a 10 year gap, Peter the FBI agent and his wife are parents to a 10 year old boy (the boy will give the indication of the time lapse). Something would need to occur for Peter to look for Neal again after all that time.

Will it continue as mostly a one off episodes or will they link the entire season into 1 conn or have multiple conns but each one a bit more elaborate that take up 2-3 episodes?

Been watching The Jackel on Peacock. It's quite good, Eddie Redmayne captures the essence of the assassin for hire from the book and 1973 movie really well. Looking forward to more episodes.

I'm curious about this one as someone mentioned I should check it out. I'll admit the trailers got my attention, felt like I got a Jason Bourne vibe a bit from watching it, the only thing I heard from the person who suggested to me, they felt like they're having a hard time following the storyline on what's going on a bit, so just asking yourself.

Great show, so good I actually watched it twice, lots of hours lol, but overall still one of the best shows ever. I suggest watching From after you're done with Lost.
