Yes, his shot is NHL quality. Even if it's only below average- average, he can still be an effective goal scorer based on his speed and offensive iq

I know i'm oversimplyfieing it but i'll say it again: the Devils brought in two guys with no NHL experience and two guys in their 30's coming off the worst years of their careers. They had a good off-season but the Rangers and Panthers had better.
