What Have You Broken With A Puck (In Your House)?

I've broken a lamp and put a couple holes in the wall and I'm almost 30. Anyone else?

I think what haven't you broken is a more appropriate question, at least in my case. I'm referring to my parents house which I shared with 2 brothers growing up though. My current apartment has mostly plastic furniture and is largely unbreakable for that very reason.

Didn't use a puck, used a tennis ball so, it would knock something down and keep bouncing to knock more things down.

i broke my own heart when i realized i would never have the will or strength to make it to the stars as a player, or as something

I fired a rubber porkchop (dog toy) off the wall for about an hour in my first apartment.

Then I switched sticks and pulled that porkchop to my left, off a glass of iced tea, which then went off my laptop and stained my LCD and made my keyboard all nasty.

First time I really played in the street with a ball I fired it off the curb and that baby ran up perfectly like a pitchers fastball just running up and getting away from him, and it flew straight through my parents bedroom window.

In the 'rents old basement I just put a few holes in the drywall. Ive also broken a few lightbulbs while playing keep-up.

My Xbox is on the fritz and not under warranty, so it may be the next victim of some puck damage.

Never broken anything, but the walls in basically every room of my apartment have black marks from me (clumsily) carrying sticks out to the car, garage, etc. Next time I paint, I'm picking a darker color.

I shot a puck 75ft down my parents driveway and broke their car tail light (in the perfect puck shape). I did the old scramble to put the net, stick, and puck away so no one would find out. About a hour later I saw my dad with the puck in his hand fitting it into the hole in the light. Busted, but he did not say anything for a few days to let me stress about it before he said anything. Thank god my folks were super laid back!

garage door mainly cause i had my net infront of it, fence, couple dents in the car. some more things but those are the ones i remember, damn my garage door is like black with holes in it now though lol

Kind of the same for me, missed the net and hit the Garage door when I was younger... just about put the puck through it.

I was shocked when my Dad broke my aluminum stick over his knee.

They have new doors now... almost 20 years later.

Anyone else ever play "faceoffs" while drinking in college? Consists of 10 hockey players standing around the kitchen and taking faceoffs (real pucks and sticks) on the linoleum - loser drinks.

A few windows, I mostly kept the shooting range outside on the garage door though. It had soooo many what most people would call dents on it. I like to call them goals. (Yes Beer Commercial).

As a kid... who knows. There's lots of fixed drywall holes in the hallway where my brother and I used to play. I seem to also remember shooting a street hockey ball into the side of an (empty) aquarium on a basement shelf and shattering the glass.

When I was 12, I was playing NHLPA 93 with my friend and I lost. I hit the Sega Genesis, it fell to the floor, and the game stopped working. The Genesis was fine, the game cartridge never worked after that. We laughed for 20 minutes solid.

Last summer I was helping tear down my parent's greenhouse and found an old aluminum stick I used as a kid. Excited, I tried to see how much flex the stick had... lots, because the shaft bent in half like it was play-doh.

I just moved and have a street hockey net to re-assemble, still undecided if I want to use it in the driveway/garage or in the undeveloped basement. I'll probably end up giving it to a kid, I haven't used it for a few years since it's not too hard to find ice time around here.

couple friends when we were younger were taking slap shots at his garage... I find a golf ball... BAM smoked that baby right through his living room window.

Oh ya we all just ran away.

Well most of the damage I have done was where I used to live .... dented a couple of cupboard doors.

Nowadays with the goal cage in the backyard the house stuff isn't necessary.

I do however still use slippery non marking pucks on a carpet upstairs in the bedroom to practice stick handling and I sometimes shoot pucks into my hockey bag while it sits on the floor.

Nothing broken yet thankfully.

Endless puck marks in my garage, broken doors, broken garage doors, I almost broke my neighbours window a couple times.

We had to get a new fridge when I was younger because the old one was full of puck marks. Also, one time I broke the side mirror on my dads truck.

The list of stuff I broke when I was younger is endless.

If I shot pucks around in my house my dad would have strangled me. So me and my brother played mini sticks and we would get to competitive. I dented the dry wall a couple of times by body checking my little brother into it.

Not inside, but I go out and practice in the office building parking lot behind my apartment. One cold night in early fall I decided to try some target practice with the various signs around the lot. It was colder than I realized, as on my first shot, I shattered a Handi parking sign with a snapshot.

Didn't have any sticks or pucks growing up, but I always wanted to play hockey. My grandparents house had a nice flat concrete patio, and I'd grab a whiffleball bat, and a golf ball, and try to stickhandle the ball around the patio and take shots with it.

For my 8th birthday my grandfather gave me my the first $100 bill I had ever seen. 10 minutes later I gave the $100 bill back to him after I put that golf ball through the glass on his patio door.

Hockey was supposed to be not allowed in the house, but what the babysitter didn't know wouldn't kill her...so my little brother & I worked over the unfinished basement whenever we got the chance.

I remember firing a puck off a support pole and it deflected right into the furnace. I mean...right into the open flame. I put a hockey glove on and deftly retrieved it.

That incident scared us enough.

The double door garage OUTSIDE my house sports dimples from about 12 million shots from frozen tennis balls, to this day.

Never played with a puck other than on ice. I have taken a wrist shot with one of those orange street hockey balls that went through my garage door a couple of times though.
