As a kid... who knows. There's lots of fixed drywall holes in the hallway where my brother and I used to play. I seem to also remember shooting a street hockey ball into the side of an (empty) aquarium on a basement shelf and shattering the glass.
When I was 12, I was playing NHLPA 93 with my friend and I lost. I hit the Sega Genesis, it fell to the floor, and the game stopped working. The Genesis was fine, the game cartridge never worked after that. We laughed for 20 minutes solid.
Last summer I was helping tear down my parent's greenhouse and found an old aluminum stick I used as a kid. Excited, I tried to see how much flex the stick had... lots, because the shaft bent in half like it was play-doh.
I just moved and have a street hockey net to re-assemble, still undecided if I want to use it in the driveway/garage or in the undeveloped basement. I'll probably end up giving it to a kid, I haven't used it for a few years since it's not too hard to find ice time around here.
