Inconsistency. They'll win 2 games with solid puck possession and great special teams and then they'll play a game where they look like they've never played together and the PK gives up 2 or 3 goals and the PP goes 0/6

Our "starter" Pavelec hasn't beaten a team currently in playoff position since November 4th. He's only allowed fewer than 3 goals in 1 of his last 10 starts.

Pretty hard to choose from:

Giving out bad extensions to Reto Berra, Brad Stuart, Cody McLeod, and Nate Guenin.
Icing all of the above along with Marc Andre Cliche.
Going 0 for 30 on the power play.
Getting on shot on net during nearly a 2 minute long 2 man advantage.
Matt Duchene (think he's playing injured) and Nate MacKinnon not playing like we all know how they can play.

Pretty much everything annoys me about the Avs this year.

Avs fans, I always knew many avs fans suck with how poorly the team draws unless they're cup contenders or winning the division, but god damn does reading our fanbase's complaints about a team who are still in the playoff hunt despite varly and EJ missing significant time and the forwards all having tough season hammer home that these people have never actually seen a young team develop.

There's a young team developing, and then there's this. This is just regression. I'll agree that they got lucky last year and that increased some expectations of what people thought the team should be. We all know that they're still developing, but it doesn't mean that we shouldn't be annoyed with some of what's been taking place ie: Cody McLeod having a permanent spot on the power play.

Don't act like this team is in the playoff hunt. They're last in the Central and are 5 points out of a tight race for a wild card spot. This team has yet to prove this season that they can win important games. Don't try to say that this team is a playoff team, because they aren't. We'll just sit back and watch the catastrophe that is this year and see what next year brings while hoping some of the young kids develop into what we hope they can be.
