Doughty skated yesterday

Our D has been much better than expected in his absence

Anderson - Gavrikov
Edmundson - Clarke
Moverare - Spence
Burroughs

So who is the odd man out?

Do we continue to run the 11/7 and Burroughs and his moustache sit in the press box?
Is someone traded?

Before someone mentions Gavrikov, he does have a NMC

Who is a big name who's also uninspiring we can trade Clarke for?

In all seriousness:
Anderson - Doughty
Gavrikov - Spence
Edmundson - Clarke
Moverare

And the 11/7 lives on.
I don't think we will see the 11/7 much longer. I suspect it was designed to give Clarke time to physically adjust, but more importantly to get some forwards going. Once Doughty is back to 25 a game, Clarke's minutes will drop and the situation will be more manageable.

But I do think there is a fairly good chance that the Kings pursue Kreider, who seems like a natural fit with Kopitar and Kempe.

Burroughs gets launched into the sun, and the pieces just sorta fall into place behind that move.

I can then move onto hating someone else on the roster with a more concerted effort.

I do not believe Kreider a natural fit with Kopitar and Kempe.

Kreider is old and is in serious decline mode.

The last things LA need is to trade for washed NY players.

I'd take Z-bad over Kreider mainly because he's a center, ideally neither though (especially to Kreider). You can never have enough center depth. Burroughs obviously gets bumped off the roster and Moverare moves to the #7 spot. I'm gonna be pissed if Burroughs somehow beats out Moverare on the depth chart...

Pretty much all the sharp points of this roster are older and in decline. No need to preserve the future, when there really isn’t much of one to speak of.

I hate how much sense it makes, tbh.

No krieder. No zibanejad.
Cuylle yes. Othmann yes.
Clarke for Zadorov retained$$$
Also when dooty gets back- a quantum increase in shit talking opponents

Once Doughty comes back one of Englund or Burroughs gets waived. I think Moverare has shown more than enough that he can handle staying up with the team this year, even if he might be the one that ends up getting scratched or being the 7th defenseman.

The real interesting question is what happens when Lewis and Moore come back, with Moore obviously much closer to returning. Easy solution is that Lee gets sent back down which I'm not opposed with. I'd prefer not to send Helenius down but I'd get it. I think the real issue now is where does Trevor Moore fit back into all this because it seems like all the forward lines have sorted itself out now and I wouldn't really want to demote Turcotte back down to 4th lines duties just to accommodate Moore.

I can't wait to see DD starting the 3x3 OT with Kopi -- it's gonna be great!

If the Kings continue to roll, the returning players should get lesser roles both D and Fwards.

This mean, Clarke stays on PP1, and no way to you consider trading him

He has improved greatly on D and scaled back the O a bit.

Perfect he will learn to pick his spots for O , even more than he is, more proficiently.

Moverare stays up as mostly a 7th or he will be taken on waivers.

Moore integrates on the 4th line to start.

Other 2 lines same.

Helenius, Lee and Burrough sent d. or moved someway.

M, A, - Gav

DD- Brandit

Edme - Spen

So now the question is why hatred the Kings do? Do you breakup our shit down line of Anderson-Gavrikov and acquire a new partner for Doughty or do we roll with the expected pairings of
Anderson-Doughty
Gavrikov-Spence
Edmundson-Clarke

I simply do not like Spence in the top 4 but that’s what’s likely to happen

Doughty moves to wing on a line with Fiala and Byfield. Mostly kidding. Could definitely see him as a right shot/left circle option on the power play.
