In the old days, Jon Cooper really liked playing young, skilled forwards on the fourth line until, usually, someone got injured and they got their shot. Now though, it's been so long since we've seen a young skilled forward, this really isn't a problem anymore.

DJ Khaled has a better chance of dying of anorexia than DJ Smith has of ever winning a Stanley Cup.

Despite this site hating him, Keefe is a good coach. But I think all Leaf fans get annoyed when he comes out fired up after a game and calls out some stars and then the next day downplays his comments. He's done it a few times now, and I get our market eats it up and takes things and basically puts players struggling under the microscope so he tries to avoid that, but if it was true it was true.

I agree with this %100. I like Keefe. And I can't think of many things he does that I really disagree with. I actually like that he doesn't change things up with the lines too often or too soon. Lots of Leafs fans hate him for that, but I think it's smart. Make the players figure things out, and let them build chemistry.

But he's super wishy-washy with the media. You're right about downplaying comments after the fact. And he's wishy-washy with other stuff too. Some interviews it's like he's trying to come off like a hard a** authoritarian, then the next he's the players' coach and best friend. It's good to be flexible, but he seems like he can't decide on a persona, and it skeeves me out a bit.

The fact our coach is system less and unable to adjust whatever system it is is he's trying to employ whenever it's seemingly not working, which is every damn game.

DJ Smith is an assistant coach at best at the NHL level.
