He's not scoring the way he was touted to when drafted but doesn't mean other parts of his game haven't progressed.
His stock is on a decline right now but not blinking red right now, he went down to Charlotte and is a PPG player.
May need a change of scenery and new system to recoup some value.

Ya we'll see what Zito can do, Middleton definitely checks a lot of boxes and we're used our 2022 1st and 2nd already in separate deals.

The third line and goaltending is perfect, the defense is great. Ideally you don't want Cousins in the top six and Hynes doesn't seem to want to play Tolvanen or Tomasino in the top six unless there's injury so I feel like an upgrade up there and someone to replace McCarron whose been fine but still mostly an AHL guy.

Leafs

1) Top 4 defenseman. 2 if Muzzin isn’t back for the playoffs

2) Top 9 grinding winger to play with Tavares

Leafs D is in shambles right now and there is no way they are getting past Florida or Tampa with their current group, especially if Muzzin is not back in time.

They also need to figure out what to do with Tavares. He and Nylander do not work together. He’s played best with Hyman and Marner in the past, but Marner and Hyman’s replacement are currently tearing it up with Matthews. Personally I would drop those wingers down with Tavares, but I wouldn’t want Matthews to go poo poo pants. Solution is to trade for another grinding winger to help Tavares. Someone like Miller, Garland or Hagel. Then you’d have lots of options:
