This is the wrong way. Detroit would need to add for Jarry. He is struggling now, but he is not a bad goalie. Last season, he tied for most shutouts and for a team that doesn't play defense had respectable stats.

Jarry is still a starting goalie in the NHL, Copp is as stated, a 4th liner.

As a Wings fan I don’t know if Pittsburgh has anything in their cupboard that would entice me to take that contract on. We’re close to getting out from Husso’s contract and the thought of throwing another $5M+ of dead weight onto the team makes me upset.

Copp has been asked to take on a specific role in Detroit that doesn’t include offensive opportunity. He finally got put at 2LW last game with Compher and Kane and was in on both goals Detroit scored. He’s never going to be ppg but if Lalonde gave him some consistent LW deployment in the top 6 he’d score a lot more.
