I think Robertson will be in the lineup and will do well. If he can stay healthy he could score 20-30 goals, especially if he's given PP time. His challenge will be making an impact if he's not scoring.

Guys like Robertson and Knies look to be high value players from the 2nd Round. Hopefully Minten too. This organization needs to start hitting on these types of picks for long term success. Look at a team like Boston with guys like Krejci, Bergeron, Marchand, All of them 2nd or 3rd round picks. We need to be doing better than Travis Dermott and Matt Finn, no offence to those guys.

Given his injuries he likely doesn't have a ton of trade value right now. He's more valuable to the Leafs as a potential option at/near league minimum.
This is it, he has no value so no reason to trade him. Give him a shot, see if he can stay healthy and figure it out - personally I'm not a believer he'll turn into a player of significance but there's nothing to lose at this point.

There's absolutely no chance they trade him. None.

That would be the reverse of the Timmins trade. The Leafs front office showed they'd rather give a young talent time to do something in the NHL rather than liquidate them when their value is low.

Don't give up on him if that's what you're asking. The dude oozes NHL scorer potential. He didn't turn out to be completely rounded as a player just yet. If he had come up with some bottom feeder, he'd probably have about 20 career NHL goals by now. If he asks out, I'd literally ignore the request and use the club control to our advantage. He may never pan out (see Matt Frattin) but let him flame out here not somewhere else after giving him away for a song as his market value is definitely down after the injuries and indifferent NHL results.

Hopefully he stays healthy next year and Robertson/Knies make up 50% of our LW spots.

He really needs a full, healthy season.
He needs to play a different was learn from Marner .
Love him wanting to play physical but he can't he needs to no his limits.

He needs to get stronger on his skates and stronger on da puck too .. he needs to keep developing with Marlies another year or two more

Robertson showed he was ready for the NHL this season. He needs to become physically stronger in order to stay healthy. If he can do that, I think he’s in the opening night lineup next season without a doubt.

Give him another shot out of camp. At this point my biggest worry is that he never gets a solid stretch of health.

Injury/recovery probably means that he starts the season in the AHL. My hope is that he makes the big team for good at some point during the season.

He must be traded. His jealousy of all the other guys with their Stanley rings will create room issues.

Have him over rippen with the Marlies.
He is a perfect example of a player that should spend a bunch more games in the AHL and not be recalled because he is our "most-ready" prospect.

Sign another Accairi FA type to fill that role.

His value has taken a hit. I would keep him give him the chance to impress and earn a spot. He’s waiver exempt so they can send him to the minors if he doesn’t impress at training camp or struggles in the NHL.

Good post.

Well said.
