Why? Maybe what he said was personal and the ref doesn’t want his family personal information out there.NHL should have to answer this. Apologies if it’s already been discussed.

They do this often. Many of the veteran officials like Sutherland crave the spotlight and ego. The junior officials are simply unprepared and incompetent. Leaving very few who can handle the pressure with grace and effectiveness these days.Seems like a I get the “last word” power trip by the ref.
Typical Edina nonsenseNHL should have to answer this. Apologies if it’s already been discussed.
Probably said FU Bruce Boudreau.NHL should have to answer this. Apologies if it’s already been discussed.
Crosby earned his reputation as a baby whining about everything. Tantrums on the ice, diving. Quite different than this example unless there is more to Bedard than we know.20 years into a hall of fame career and Crosby still gets shit for complaining about blatant penalties when he was in Bedard’s position.
Interesting to see the sentiment has now shifted to being anti-referee lol
I am guessing it was motherf*ckerI have an idea, but it won't be said. It's a word people don't think it's that bad, but it truly is a very horrible word. That's the only hint.
What had Bedard done to earn the benefit of the doubt? Let’s wait to hear what was said before blaming the officials.Generally I think people give refs way too hard a time, but this one was ridiculous. This is professional sports for god’s sake.

Guy got 10 minutes because he called a ref, "buddy". That's such a Canadian insult that no one should ever get this offended over.
It’s on video.
He said, in total:
“Come on, that’s a trip. Alright, alright. Alright, buddy.”
10 minute misconduct to finish the game? I’m sorry, that’s a ****ing joke. This is a 1st overall draft pick who’s played 135 games in the league saying “alright, buddy”.
