What Did Connor Bedard Say To Get A 10-Min Misconduct?

Seems like a I get the “last word” power trip by the ref.
They do this often. Many of the veteran officials like Sutherland crave the spotlight and ego. The junior officials are simply unprepared and incompetent. Leaving very few who can handle the pressure with grace and effectiveness these days.

20 years into a hall of fame career and Crosby still gets shit for complaining about blatant penalties when he was in Bedard’s position.

Interesting to see the sentiment has now shifted to being anti-referee lol
Crosby earned his reputation as a baby whining about everything. Tantrums on the ice, diving. Quite different than this example unless there is more to Bedard than we know.

Guy got 10 minutes because he called a ref, "buddy". That's such a Canadian insult that no one should ever get this offended over.

What had Bedard done to earn the benefit of the doubt? Let’s wait to hear what was said before blaming the officials.

It’s on video.

He said, in total:

“Come on, that’s a trip. Alright, alright. Alright, buddy.”

10 minute misconduct to finish the game? I’m sorry, that’s a ****ing joke. This is a 1st overall draft pick who’s played 135 games in the league saying “alright, buddy”.

Jesus dude, even Jomboy points out to you that they are missing a significant portion of video here. The cut from the incident and Bedard skating to the bench to the ref coming over to tell him he got a 10. What Bedard said after the ref came over to tell him his misconduct is largely irrelevant. That’s a significant period of time missed. Not sure why you are ignoring it.

Hell Bedard even says it was when he got to the bench and when the play was still going on, not when the official came over after the stoppage to tell him of their decision.

So obviously the incident did not happen during Jomboy’s breakdown, which Jomboy tried to tell you in his video.

Be best.

And maybe, just maybe there was more to it than that 45 second clip. Perhaps things were said earlier in the game, maybe even earlier in the season.

He's done nothing but lose and is struggling in his second season. He also got tripped with no call. He's just extremely competitive and frustrated with his situation, his own play, etc.

Got ejected in Van too.

Crosby's raging hypocrisy aside, there is no chance Crosby gets treated the way Bedard did.

What do these clips have to do with fouls committed AGAINST Crosby early in his career? Many of which went uncalled, which were often things he was complaining about?

Sometimes an alright buddy strikes the nerves harder than something far more blatant 🤣

It should be added that Crosby was one of the most abused superstars ever as a young player, and the league back then was in a different stratosphere for the violence players endured.

Out of all the players in the NHL, Crosby is the absolute last player who any fan should be complaining about not getting favorable calls.

I realize that's the narrative in Canada but it is utter gibberish.

Crosby slashed off a guy's fingertip and the NHL wouldn't even give him a fine that amounts to 1/4,000th of his salary (in fact the NHL has never fined Crosby). There is no argument to be made that Crosby was doing anything other than deliberately slashing hands on that play.

No player in this current generation has been given more favorable calls than Sidney Crosby.
