Keefe should go. The team is barely above .500. Get someone who might be able to get more out of this group.
That would probably be the best move but I still doubt it happens. He will get 1 more chance to take this team deep into the playoffs, assuming they make it.
Agreed. He won’t be back if we don’t get to the conference finals atleast.

The more noise we make on here, the more the media picks up on it and eventually, hopefully, finally, it might put the fire to TreShanny's feet to do the necessary.

The Leafs are always late to react. They'll wait till the season is either over or they squeak into the playoffs to be bounced in round 1.
Those things might still happen with a new coach, buts it's clear what this team is with Keefe.

I wouldn't expect there to be one either. I haven't seen anything from the media that suggests that Tre or Shanny is upset with Keefe. It's all fan driven

Keefe is a moron that shouldn't be here in the first place, but right now he is missing prospects and he got no drafts or cap to spend on UFAs.
Dubas was in "we can win Cup now" mode from day one, which was as stupid as signing JT (yes the two are related ).
We could keep Kadri, forget JT, keep all the picks in the world.Let our young players struggle and grow- something they could also use at the time.
Signing JT was the reason why we couldn't pick prospects but had to pretend to be Contenders from the get-go. Top 5 salary playing 2C , you know we needed him !

I believe Tre gave Keefe a contract that runs through the end of the '25-26 season. So you may very well be right.

Yea, that's a big problem. Leafs have no assets now. Dubas went all in for a few years, depleting the assets on this sorry ass group that could only get 1 series win total. Pathetic.
But if Shanny and Tre are supposedly happy with Keefe, then they must be unhappy with the players. Right? Yet they keep doubling down on this failed core.

I don't think there is any chance they fire him that far into the season absent something dramatic like a 10 game losing streak. The talent on the team will prevent them from suffering an extended losing streak.

changing coach's won't do much if your going to force the new guy to use JT in the top 6
what they need to do is move Domi up with Willie and Bert and throw JT on the wing on the 3rd line with Krock/Holmberg who can cover for him defensively while he floats high and walks back towards our zone

There's really nothing we as fans can do. They aren't going to fire someone because a handful of fans show up with signs or if there is a chant in the arena (which is doubtful based on the makeup of our home games and the general lack of interest from most people at games). They aren't going to do anything emotional or rash, IMO anyway. If anything they will fire him if the team misses the playoffs or we get bounced in the first round again.
I maintain that any other team would have fired Keefe and potentially Dubas after blowing the series vs. Montreal in 2021.
