Damn that's a tough question. I mean I listen to a loooot of music. So maybe I'll answer what I feel right now... 'cause my favorites are not going to be set in stone.

(in no particular order)

1. Queen - The Show Must Go On. Not easy for me to choose a favorite Queen song but this is the one that really cheers me up no matter what so gotta go with the timeless classic. The message behind the lyrics is so powerful.

2. Frank Sinatra - Strangers In the Night. This was easier to choose. I also like I'll Be Home For Christmas by Sinatra but only ever listen to it in December.

3. Eminem - Mockingbird. Eminem has so many great tracks to choose from but I'll always have a soft spot for Mockingbird in my heart for personal reasons.

4. Linkin Park - Figure.09. Hybrid Theory was one of the few albums I had as a kid. I always listened it from start to finish so even though it's my favorite Linkin Park album it's too hard for me to separate those tracks from each other to say which one I like the best. So that's why I'll just go with Figure.

5. Machine Gun Kelly - Halo. The music video for this is great too. Saying this as someone who usually doesn't like to watch music videos in general (they distract from the music too often). Kelly is the rare exception with some good one's.

Okay after this it gets too difficult for me. There are LOTS of music I like but I'd say those 5 are actual favorites. I'll have to think about the last 5 some other time.

Personally, I think it's kind of a shame that people are expected to gravitate towards certain eras of music due to their age. I grew up listening to music in the 2000s and all of my favorite stuff is pre-90s. In a perfect world, there would be no connection between the two, IMO.

I'm sure it will still be played on the radio in 20-30 years, as kids will be nostalgic for it when they grow up (hell, plenty of sh*tty pop songs from twenty years ago still get tons of radio play today), but otherwise, but I agree with the sentiment.
