When I die, I wanna come back just like you.
So do you guys think the Avs will make a move before the 4 nations, or only after?
*LMFAO* No...no you don't.
However, if reincarnation is a thing... I hope that once we all have lived our most perfect life, Buddah winks at the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and poof... you get one last life beginning as a kitten in my wife's household. Your reward for living the perfect life, is to have the purrfect life of luxary and babying.
Seriously though, I think if the move was ready to be made it would have happened already. My read is that CMac has adopted the WaffleHouse hours and is currently open for business 24 hours a day 365 days a year (except leap year...if it was one of those he'd be open 366 days).
The hangup is on the other side. I feel there are still too many GMs unwilling to say they are out of the race, this early in the season. Yes, we all know they are out of the race. But they will not publically acknowledge it via trades until probably after the Four Nations.
I figure, if I've got a piece I'm considering selling at the deadline. I could offer him up right now and get a reasonable return on him. But what happens if someone gets hurt at the Four Nations Tournament? Would this guy I'm holding on to get a better return then?
I think sellers want to wait as long as reasonable possible to ensure they have as many available suitors as possible. That's why even if a GM is willing to move early, you almost essentially have to overpay a bit to get a deal done early. I think our move will come after as a result. It's not because CMac doesn't want to go now, but either the price is astronomical right now or the other GMs simply aren't ready to dance. It always takes two willing partners.
