Would you have traded Mikko Rantanen?

For the Avs current front office it's a fact and they will regret it. But the Question is "Would you have traded Mikko Rantanen?".
How can anyone answer "He priced himself out" not knowing what was Rantanen's number?
If Mikko was willing to home town discount of 7m and the Avs wouldn't go past 6.9420m. He priced himself out.

If he's asking for 14 and the Avs weren't willing to go beyond 12. He priced himself out.

Or anything in between. We know the Avs traded him for cap reasons. So he did price himself out.

We don't need to know the exact number to know it was more than the Avs wanted to pay and therefore he priced himself out.

You don't get it.

Question was would YOU(not the Avs) have traded Rantanen but YOU don't know Rantanen's asking price therefore YOU can't say he priced himself out.

Just as said up there NO ONE here knows the facts. Only Avalanche and Mikko's team know.

Like what if he was offered 11m tops? Yes, propably not, but NO ONE HERE knows.

Safe to say from Nathan's and Bednar's interviews Rantanen had also some other qualities than being the elite player that he is.

I think the Avs are going to have to change their system to a better team defence as they’re likely not going to have a chance to outscore their issues anymore (that was apparent before the trade to be fair).

I also think we need more net front guys so we can get more greasy goals.

As far as the trade goes it was good for being in a bad situation. Risking losing him for nothing wasn’t an option and the team needed a shakeup. Was it the right call? Ask me after the trade deadline

I didn't fill out the poll, because it didn't have an option that fit my view.

I think it's very hard for a team to have ~40-45% of its salary cap spent on 3 players (even if those players deserve the money), and still ice a deep cup-competitive team. And while Rantanen is a terrific player, he is also the worst of those 3 players.
