One of the absolute smoothest songs of all time. Jay Grayden's guitar solo is legendary - it's so discordant and doesn't have anything else to do with the rest of the song, but at the same time there is simply no other guitar solo that would tie it all up together. That, and the lyrics sound so happy but also carry such lascivious undertones. There are so many great Steely Dan songs out there, but this one has to be my favorite. It's a legitimate masterpiece.

I don't like this Phoebe Bridgets album much. I don't mind bland albums if they have catchy hooks and stuff (early Coldplay, Keane, Travis, etc). This is just very air-fluffy with some good songs interspersed.

Not a bad album but not deserving of the hype it got, another one of the overrated Pitchfork albums by American press.

One of my favorite songs about people who talk behind your back

Listen as the syllables of slaughter cut with calm precision
Patterned frosty phrases rape your ears and sow the ice incision
Adjectives of annihilation bury the point beyond redemption
Venomous verbs of ruthless candour plagiarise assassins fervour
Apocalyptic alphabet casting spell the creed of tempered diction
A friend in need is a friend that bleeds
Let bitter silence infect the wound
