Welsh band The Joy Formidable released their 5th album today and it sounds pretty friggin good on first listen. I think they're the 3rd best band to come out of the UK from the 2010's and this album probably pushes them into 2nd for me ahead of Desperate Journalist if it's good.

So I’m moving to Mongolia soon and went on a YouTube spree- anyone heard of this band “The Hu”? Ya- part pun, but I guess it also means “people”- they do throat singing metal, and what I thought would be gimmicky has me ready to run through a f***ing wall. Just- skip to when the lyrics kick in around 1:45 and tell me this doesn’t fit an NHL hit compilation like a glove. It’s like a war shanty, goddamn.



Or like, pump the chorus to this next one through the arena at any sporting event- except you know it’d inspire way too many fights.
