I'm gonna try to get into some of the non-Grunge non-Country 90s Canrock this year. Not a fan of our band landscape as compared to what the UK did in the 90s but I do think that Raine Maida, Gord Downie, and Matthew Good were something special musically (I realize Downie's band came out in the late 80s).

I still think Curve's debut album Doppelganger is the best shoegaze album I've heard. Better than MBV, Slowdive, Ride, Lush, Nothing, Chapterhouse, Catherine Wheel, Swervedriver, etc.

Too bad it had a bad sound mix but still.
