I just stumbled upon this post on Twitter and went on to check his stats this year. I get that last year he was injured but he seems to have an incredible slow start again this year. Is this the case of a player playing like he wants out? A fresh start?

Was extremely overhyped/overrated coming in but he’s got talent and is better than the recent numbers would suggest.

Should be a good complimentary top 6 winger who can put up 60 or 70 points IMO.

Skill and possession center is being forced to play dump and chase hockey as a wing with a bunch of other players who are too small, too young, too old, too slow, or for multiple reasons also no good at dump and chase. The coach is forcing players to play his style, not adapting his style to fit his players.

Watching him and hearing some of his interviews, he has always given off the vibe to me of only caring a lot about super fancy moves and not about being a really good hockey player.

Trevor has a ton of pure skill and seemed to be projecting well after back to back 60 point campaigns. Needs to adjust his game. Not sure if it’s an IQ thing or just needs add more physicality to his game.

18 points pace. Ouch.

Didn't help that EA put him on the cover of their game after his sophomore season, which while decent wasn't some world breaking performance.
That day I discovered that some people treat being on the cover of an NHL game as some sort of an award that has to be earned instead of a marketing tool to sell this shitty game.
