You can play the same goalie on Saturday night that you played 48 hours earlier on Thursday night after one, stinkin, measly, 90 mile bus ride from Philly to Newark.

Why do people keep saying this like it's a thing?

I hate when people accuse me or other posters of ''Hating'' players that think suck. That word is just thrown around way too casually.

But like I said, after his ''Shit'' talk (literally) and his inability to stop a puck over his last 56 games, I f***ing hate this player.

If there's just one player that I hate on my team, big surprise that it's a f***ing goalie that SUCKS.

I haven't hated a player on this team this much in a long time. A goalie is gonna cost you more points than anybody that I or anybody else usually complains about. Whether it's McLeod, Stephen Gionta, Ruutu, f***ing Pelley, Mark Fraser, Pete Harrold. you name it.

i really think also they should take wood or bastian and move them around... throw zetterlund on the fourth line if you have too.. we need some weight in the top nine..im sorry this isn't college hockey.. you have to have guys that can create a little room out there..... the redundancy of the top nine guys is ridiculous one of the reasons i wasn't distraught when they lost johnny hockey

It's baffling that they played Blackwood over Vanecek when Vanecek had the better preseason. I guess Blackwood had the benefit of incumbency, and a longer track record (although I don't think that's a point in his favor, Ruff might).

He should be on a short leash though. I think in the early going it is reasonable to give them both starts, see if either gets hot, and stick with the guy who plays better. My guess is it will be Vanecek, and I hope it doesn't take them too long to figure that out.

agreed ... its not like this was a rare bad game for him... this is what they get every night with him there are games when your forwards can't score you gotta keep the flyers to two goals there and get it close or to OT..

Blackwood was always going to get games early on; hes our homegrown guy vs Vanecek who we have a few preseason games of

If Vanecek started tonight I promise you Blackwood woulda started Saturday. B2B and stuff doesnt matter, until 15ish games in they arent gonna lean away from Blackwood. They need to actually see what they have in him before they make a decision this coming offseason

If Vanecek by game 15+ is clearly the better goaltender then youll see him get a larger, starters' share of the starts.

I don't have the exact quote but he used the word shit and implied that he's heard the shit people say about him. I think the other word he used was noise.
