What is the devils defensive structure/concept?

I have extensively diagramed it and discussed what I think is wrong and would change. I think I’m one of the few people that will talk X and O of positioning and philosophy.

The 3rd flyers goal is a good example of the useless defensive wingers and both defenseman leaving the slot leaving wide open slot shots too often.
