That performance by Liev Schreiber as the veteran tough guy was so good and almost out of place in a largely silly movie. When I saw the movie I just assumed it was some former player who could act, I didn't even recognize him as the actor I'd seen in several other things.

Canucks fan coming to say everyone loved this guy. Growing up he was the definition of a hockey player and gave everything every shift. As someone mentioned above they broke the mold after making him !
