I'm not sure Frederic brings anything. He doesn't even hit or get into scrums. I don't think Skinner can play in a series like this though so not sure who could replace him.

f***. The Oilers wasted immense fortune tonight. Getting the late goal, lucky to get that, then several times Panthers had game on their stick in OT Post, breakaways, finally the dagger.

Florida were the better team tonight and played a smarter controlled game.

Theres more problems. An Oilers club that is older has played a shit load of hockey now in the final, 9 periods, thats 3 games in two nights and Connor McD was rounding into 40mins.

Panthers were stapling Oilers with hits all night. Trouble is Panthers won a lot of aspects in this game and did what they wanted to. Can't say that about the Oil tonight.

This team almost always does things the hard way.

Have to agree that objectively the Panthers were the better team tonight.

Well, it don't come easy for the Oilers but if they truly deserve the cup then they will dig deep and get at least a split in Florida. I think they were a bit lucky to get a split in Edmonton. They are just as talented as the Panthers but eventually breakaways and defensive mistakes will kill you.

Honestly I think a loss like that wakes them up a bit. They gave up too many breakaways. Got too complacent with their leads. Florida showed why they’re a good team.

I had a feeling it would go this way. We were not generating anything in OT, and Florida was catching break after break.

Not sure why they didn't just make it simple and crash the net with point shots. Florida deserved the OT.

It’s not the 100 things you do right, it’s the 1 thing you do wrong. Tonight it was 2 things that went wrong. A shorty against cannot happen. That OT winner cannot happen.

That OT goal is why I am apprehensive about Skinner and frankly don’t trust him. Bobrovsky is the only reason why this isn’t 2-0 Edmonton and they’ve outscored them about 14-6 between the two games.

I'd love to see us sit Nurse and bring in Stecher. Not going to happen because of his salary and that A, which is also one reason why we didn't win last year. He's allergic to puck possession and constantly ices the puck or makes weak shot attempts that are glorified giveaways. That said...Ekholm-Bouchard were on the ice for two goals against, so maybe it's time to reunite Kulak-Bouchard and see if Ekholm can babysit Darnell?

On the Reinhardt breakaway I don't think there was a single Oiler closer to his zone than halfway between Bobrovsky and the Panthers blue line. Complete dog shit and they let this happen 3 times.

Yeah I know Bouchard is one of the best in the league at keeping the puck on pinches but we just can't allow breakaway opportunities.
