What he did on the ice does not necessarily translate to success behind the bench (see Gretzky). He has no experience at coaching at any significant level and it shows. He might be frustrated by his own lack of ability. The questions will get tougher and it will be interesting to hear his responses.

Personally, I think people expect way too much.

There's enough blame to go around the roster, don't need to pile on a coach who's there to help the youngsters.

If people thought this sorta sequence wouldn't happen, they need a reality check.

No one cares
I’m not concerned.

Welcome to rebuilding. This is what it looks like.
Nah, this is a team that has quit competing. We only have three-four guys that can create/score but we were given credit all season for our never quit attitude but now it seems to be gone. I know that we are a bottom feeder but you want your guys to play with heart and this is not it.

Those that have quit competing will be on the block. Goodbye to Drouin, Dvorak and others…

I expect them to be competitive Oz, I didn't say I expected the 77 habs did I? They went from fun to watch to unbearable to sit through. I don't need a reality check but I do want to see them compete and not get blown out, that is not good for them either.

Not sure why anyone would be upset. Regardless of how they lost. Main thing is that they lost. Big or small who cares. This game just guaranteed us a loss with no hope which we desperately need to continue to do game in and game out.

The more demoralizing a loss is, the happier I feel going into the draft. Need to make sure all hope is lost till out savior Bedard arrives

True, but a 4th to 7th round is better than no pick at all. It's a lotto ticket. Then again... I'd pay a 4th to 7th to lose a lot of these players

You could also be missing out on seeing what you have in say, someone like Ylonen while you try and squeeze a 4th rounder instead of a 5th rounder by catering ice time to vets who checked out

There is opportunity lost in ice time for others by doing this

Whoa I didn't watch the game but that looked brutal Kovacevic completely walked loooool

The Ghoul injury will be catastrophic to this team. It's been unwatchable for weeks but this was the final blow. Expecting to be bottom 4 soon enough.

Thankfully we have the wjcs and the lotto picks.

It’s better this way.

If tanking gets us Slafkovskys in exchange for 82 games of losing and a whole year wasted, may we never tank again. What a rotten deal, that.

This is actually our 1st tank year. Last year, Bergevin was still trying to make the playoffs & defended this team on his way out. "They're better than they're playing." LOL

No, no they're not.

Last year was an accidental tank. This year, they're going into it full bore.

So anyone else thinking this is all by design? You have a chance to get the next generational talent and you have a team full of deadwood. I honestly am not minding losing at all. I listen to MSL after the games and he is so even keel and never upset. This is all by design in my opinion. They need to improve the talent on the team. Hopefully Hoffman, Dru, Armia, Evans, Edmondson, Savard, Allan,Gallagher are on their way out. I'm good with playing Monty and Poulin in net lol. Also Harris needs to be in the AHL.

I find it odd that people are comparing MSL to Dumb Dom... this is still the same team. It doesn't have any pieces that MSL has brought it yet - not counting the rookies. So what did people expect would change?

Still the same loser mentality with the same loser players. We have TWO good forwards and ONE with potential. That's it.
No doubt. This is still 75% Bergevin’s team and to think there are talks about us to starting to compete next year. It will be another couple of years.
